Google has dismissed the April Fool's Gmail button, sent a humorous animation to the recipient, after reporting people in trouble at work.

However, a series of complaints about the button appeared on the Google forums.
The company has given up this feature and apologized.
"It looks like we have experienced ourselves this year," Google said in a statement.
"Due to the error, the MicDrop feature accidentally caused more headaches than laughter. We are really sorry."
A mic drop is a common meme in which someone makes a statement concluding or refuting before leaving the microphone and walking.
Google did not immediately able to clarify the details of the error.
Google adds that users can still see this feature, which can turn off this feature by reloading or restarting Gmail.
The button is not enabled on the corporate business enterprise's Gmail account.
'Lost job'
"Thanks to MicDrop I just lost my job," claims a user on Google product forums.
"I was a writer and had a deadline to meet, I sent my articles to my boss and never heard from her again, I accidentally sent an email using the MicDrop button."
Another complained that they had had an interview for a job with a company for three months and then accidentally sent an email dropping the mic to the HR department.
And one third said they sent an "important email to 30 recipients".
The user has been notified of the button and what it will do through a message in Gmail when it first appears.
Moreover, users with the ability to "undo sending" are enabled will be able to retract the message for a certain period of time after sending.
Google also announced some April Fool's jokes, including a video of the new delivery service and "realistic" headphones.
